7th September 2026 - (Hong Kong) Hong Kong equities opened marginally firmer, with the Hang Seng Index adding two points at the opening to 25,652, on turnover of HK$11.25 billion. The Hang Seng Tech Index slipped 0.3 per cent to 4,558.
Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347) officially entered the blue-chip ranks and rebounded by nearly two per cent in early trade. In contrast, Bilibili Inc. (09626) and NetEase, Inc. (09999) each dropped by more than two per cent as technology counters came under pressure.
At 9.22am, the market remained narrowly mixed, with modest index gains tempered by weakness across parts of the technology complex.
