11th February 2026 - (Hong Kong) The Hang Seng Index opened Tuesday's session with a modest gain of 63 points, or 0.23%, beginning trade at 27,246. The HSCEI and the Hang Seng Tech Index also saw slight increases at the open. Technology stocks displayed a mixed performance in early trading. Alibaba Group and Xiaomi Corporation saw minor gains, while Tencent Holdings and Meituan experienced slight declines. JD.com and Kuaishou Technology were among the stronger performers in the sector.
Shares in WuXi Biologics advanced 3.5% following the company's issuance of a positive profit alert. Conversely, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation ( SMIC ) traded 2.3% lower after the release of its financial results.
Financial stocks also presented a varied picture. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, AIA Group, and Ping An Insurance Group all registered small gains. HSBC Holdings opened slightly lower.
